THREE
YEARS' PROFESSIONAL COURSES:
DESIGN
The three-year professional courses organized by L.A.B.A. have an annual duration (November-May), containing about 500 hours a year. The courses are available in flexible hours; morning, afternoon and evening. All of the courses are conducted by qualified and professional teachers. Final exams will take place at the end of May. At the end of each course a three-year professional diploma will be issued, released by L.A.B.A. (Libera Accademia di Belle Arti Leg. Ric. con D.M. 27/04/2000).
Design in all it’s aspects: from a project’s concept to the research of its shape and form, and finding the correct method for operating your choices in functional and formal way. Industry and its influence upon our choices of designing something. Graphic and plastic presentations of your project. Choices of materials and colors. Analyzing the established product. Technology as the project’s input, and creativity as its formal result. The student as a professional studies graduate will be that of a professional, capable of working in the world of design as a creative expert in the new languages of visual arts.
LABA has activated collaborations specifically within the Design department with the Piaggio di Pontedera Foundation and with the Blam studio in Florence. There will be outings and internships with these public and private associations.
